    Hi, I'm Ayeh

    My Cooking Journey

True story, from when I was 8yrs old, I would pretend I was hosting a cooking show and role play with my grandmother being my audience. Little did I know that these playful moments were laying the foundation for a lifelong passion.

I was raised in Sydney, Australia with a Persian heritage, so between Grandma's cooking classes and my mum’s cooking tips, I learned the many secrets passed down from generations.

Whilst cooking was my passion, I worked in finance for most of my career. This however didn’t stop me from cooking for my family and friends - even from my teenage years, I was known for having that cooking intuition and would prepare dinner for my mum before she came home from work.

Everything changed in 2018, when I suffered a back injury and became homebound for 2 years. I was unable to do normal activities or work, so I would cook and experiment new recipes whilst sitting on a chair with my dog Coco by my side. It was the only time I didn't think about my physical condition and would feel like my happy self again.

    Cooking became 'my happy place'

I then started to post video tutorials across social media, sharing my recipes, showing that anyone can cook.  After a long 4 years of recovery, I'm blessed to be pain free and truly believe connecting with my community played a massive role.

Currently I share my time between Australia and Italy, where I’ve spent countless hours learning and embracing the essence of true Italian cooking, of course with the help of some of the best chef’s I know - Italian Nonna’s.  Spending time in Italy has fueled my passion for honest ingredients and keeping it simple in every dish I create.
